











































Rafael Montalvo Vega is a Puerto Rican visual artist based in Miami whose practice centers on sculpture and photography as interdependent disciplines. His work investigates material memory, spatial tension, and the dialogue between constructed form and captured light. Rooted in formal training and shaped by Caribbean cultural consciousness, Montalvo Vega’s practice engages contemporary discourse through tactile structure and visual poetics.
Working across traditional and mixed media, his sculptural language emphasizes mass, void, and surface, while his photographic work extends sculptural thinking into image-making — exploring permanence, fragility, and transformation.
